Internet Marketing Expert Charlie Seymour Jr

Video is very helpful when marketing the performing arts

My family has been at The Players Club of Swarthmore for five generations as directors, actors, choreographers, music directors. I was IN my first production in 1957 and have since directed 14 productions on the main stage. If there is one thing we know, it's what it takes to produce live theater.

My available time has been limited the past few years but I have stayed close by photographing each production for a Lobby Display.

But for THIS season…. when PCS announced it would produce Into The Woodsfor its second production, I stepped up to help with the marketing. And no sense doing it the same way everyone else does, since I teach unconventional marketing methods (especially for online marketing) I have to use them too, right?

Watch this series as I take you us behind the scenes to see what it takes to produce a large-cast musical like Into The Woods, which opens October 22, 2009. Come back when I feature interviews with some of the actors, show you the rehearsals, let you see the costumes coming together, and finally the on-stage look of the final production.
