We do.
Dad and I could go fishing and stand there forever, looking out at the fish, talking every now and then, but still looking out at the fish. We'd do the same at the football or baseball games too.
Women want to face each other, talk and share ideas and emotions… but they generally want someone to listen. Men want to fix, so when a wife tells her husband what went on in the office, the husband wants to fix it and offers several suggestions: she just wanted him to LISTEN.
Watch this video… it's classic. Mark Gungor does a great (and terrifically funny) job of explaining the difference in our brains.
And watch the audience reaction when he says something – husbands and wives recognize their own activities but REALLY recognize what their partners have been doing.
