Taking Time For Relatives
Holidays …
What is it about holidays that bring many of us together?
Clearly it’s not just that we have a day off from work: that happens twice a week for most people (though I admit that many of us entrepreneurs don’t take a full weekend off).
For me, I found that I got to know some of my cousins and saw that they were really good people. I liked them! None was robbing a bank, dealing in drugs, doing anything that wouldn’t be looked upon favorably by our relatives from years ago.
But we were generally only seeing each other at the funeral or memorial service for one of my parents’ generation.
So… we decided we’d get together for a picnic, a relaxing time, a time when three generations could come together just to enjoy each other, not to cry when losing one of us.
Some in the family really like this idea and some don’t. Some of us cling to a sense of family, and some don’t.
I recognize that when a family member is gone, s/he’s gone. So I’d like to spend some more time together before that time.
Heck, who knows: I might be that next to go… and I want to squeeze every great moment outta life before that happens!
Charlie

How Can YOU Become A Professional BloggerHandling two of the Top 10 ways each week so that YOU can become a professional blogger (OR learn from professional bloggers so you can improve HOW you blog), here are two more I suggest: 7. A professional blogger will understand the importance of building a list of subscribers through their blog. You probably noticed the signup box on MY blog… that’s how you got on my list to receive this ezine. Pro bloggers write free reports, ebooks, and at least a weekly ezine. It’s important to stay in touch at least once a month – for doing so less than that will have 10% leave you each month they haven’t heard from you. If you have a favorite marketing method and will share it with all of us, I'll be sure to include your name and contact information here in our Ezine. Share Your Marketing Ideas Here! |

Movie Producers All Atwitter About Twitter
Newspapers Tell About Hollywood's Fear Of People Who Send Tweets
Did you see this article in your local paper? (You DO still read the newspaper, right? If Baby Boomers are part of your market you should – THEY still read papers almost as much as they read online information and watch nightly news.)
The headline was, "Hollywood a flutter about the 'Twitter Effect.'
It's as if Hollywood producers just woke up.
Didn't they see all the reports about Iran's election when the population sent messages around the world? Don't they believe the reports that people like Proctor and Gamble (you can't get much more "main stream" and "institutional" in advertising than P&G) are using Social Media? Don't they see that the "kids" are using text messages in the THOUSANDS each month, going one on one with their friends… and then using the same texting technology to use Twitter to go one to MANY?
So… what is Hollywood so afraid of?
YOU. Me. And THOUSANDS like us being able to communicate freely and within seconds of discovering what we like or dislike.
WHY are they so afraid and what happened to make them stand up and notice?

Previous topics include: - I tell people that I’m “on a deadline” so that I won’t be asked to waste time that I should be working toward my goals. - I gave you a tip that I got from Dan Kennedy years ago: Only accept SCHEDULED telephone calls from clients. - I presented something that I’m “famous” for (and the envy of many of my friends stuck in a “job”): my DPS Time – Dreaming, Planning, Scheming. - I told you about SKYPE. - I told you to stay away from TV, radio, newspapers, etc until late in your day – keep your engine running well with positive, uplifting, spiritual or meaningful messages instead. - I suggested that you watch other industries, not just your own. - I said that you should join a local business group to stay in touch with others. - You also read about Setting Up A Blog. - And I urged you to use video in a blog. - You were urged to improve your writing online – it’s easy when you learn how! – I told you that people ask me if they should put their videos on YouTube and other video-sharing sites and I said Yes… and No! – I showed you how to create a Marketing CAMPAIGN every time to market something. - I presented information about the service you sell vs. a product. - When things go wrong around your home was a topic. - Then there was the topic of finding materials to blog about. - We chatted about emailing from your phone. - Then we chatted about the fun I discovered using video from my cell phone. - MeetUp.com – I told you how it helps gather people from around the area to meetings (and how YOU can set up your own). - We chatted about creating a community service project that helps THEM and helps YOU. Today let’s focus on using YouSendIt.com when you need to send large files. As a photographer, videographer, and blogger, I often have files too large to be sent as an email attachment. You know how it is – you send something and your email service rejects it. Well, other than mailing it through snail mail on a CD Rom, how can you effectively send large files to clients? I use YouSendIt.com Just go there, register, and you’ll be able to send files up to 100 MB FREE. Here’s how it works: You upload your file to YouSendIt.com, telling them the person to whom it really goes. YouSendIt.com sends an email to that person who is instructed to click the download button and the file I had sent to YouSendIt.com will now be downloaded to my client’s hard drive when s/he clicks the link in the YouSendIt.com email to my client. And the file can be downloaded up to 100 times over the week that follows. So… when I send a slideshow to a client, s/he can send that email to lots of friends and up to 100 of them can download the file to THEIR computers. Think of the viral effect of this. And it’s all FREE! (I’m not even sure what their paid version is for – the free version suits me just fine. So, next time you have a large file to send to someone, go to YouSendIt.com and let THEM to the tough part! To learn more about one of MY products that help you with words, Click Here! Differences Between Men and WomenPeople in relationships often have strong expectations that their partner will be just like they are: exhibit the same attitudes, values, perceptions, and behaviors. However, we know that you will not change your partner's attitudes and behaviors unless they themselves are motivated to do so. You are even less likely to change their basic gender characteristics. So it is very important to educate yourself as to the basic gender differences which exist between men and women, and accept the fact that the differences are there, they are real, and they are not going away. In this way you can learn to use the differences as a way to enrich your relationship rather than to damage it. Are Men and Women really different? Let's look at the evidence in a variety of areas of life. Note that these findings are generalizations and summaries that apply to most men or women, but not to all men or all women. 6. HOW TO WORK WITH THESE DIFFERENCES Did you just hear something from a woman and thought it needed translation? Did you recently say something that was totally unintelligible by your spouse?
